Diploma Engg. Courses have semester pattern examination system basically held during Winter (November-December) & Summer (April-May).The Semester examinations are conducted by “State Council for Vocational Education &Training” Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Criteria For Passing A Semester
ln order to pass the semester end examinations conducted by the Council, a candidate has to secure a minimum 35% marks in each theory paper including the internal assessment marks, 50% marks in each practical paper and secure an aggregate of 40% in that semester.
Calculation Of Percentage Secured By Candidate
ln order to determine the division in which a candidate shall be placed at the end of the course the weight age to marks secured in the semesters will be taken into account as follows:
(i) 100% of the marks obtained by the candidate in 3 years courses.
(ii) 50% of the marks obtained by the candidate in the 1.r to 3rd semesters and
(iii) 100%marks of the rest semesters for 4years (Part time) courses, 100% marks of all the semesters for 2year courses, Lateral students.
